Challenge

The relationship between the D.P. Murphy Inc. Hotel Group and Foxwoods is long and varied. It began in 2005 with Crowne Plaza properties the Lord Beaverbrook Hotel in Fredericton and the Crowne Plaza Moncton, and continues with Hamptons Inn & Suites in Moncton and Sydney.

The property owners are involved with the design, preferring to develop each property with individual characteristics, creating cohesion by using a signature colour palette. On all projects for the Hampton Inn and Suites and Crowne Plaza, Foxwoods has worked with Pascal Pisegna, General Manager of the Moncton property.

Solution

Pascal believes Foxwoods is capable of miracles, “We sat down to plan the millwork for the Moncton property on paper. The owner had ripped out a page of a magazine with a small corner of the picture showing the type and ‘meat’ of the wood she was looking for. Bruno said, ‘okay, let me see what I can come up with.’ The end result was beautiful. Bruno and his team can recreate the design 99.9 percent of the time.”

Result

Another highlight for Pisegna was using part of a trunk from a 300 year-old Bubinga tree from South Africa that the owner had sourced in Halifax, Nova Scotia. “Foxwoods took delivery of the piece and turned it into a stunning table for our breakfast area in the Sydney property.” And when there are deficiencies they are dealt with immediately. “I’ve known Bruno to come in to inspect a piece that had been installed, and if he doesn’t like it, he replaces it – on his own time and dime. That is customer service.”

Our Client Says

“The Foxwoods team is fantastic and top-notch. The attention to detail they pay to their finish work is superb. And it’s lasting and durable. When we get queries about our millwork, we always refer them to Foxwoods.” – Pascal Pisegna, General Manager, Hampton Inn and Suites, Moncton
